Wet weather doesn’t stop baseball fans (News 8 Austin)

After a rainy start to the day, the sun shined in Omaha, Neb., and it was a great day for baseball. Wet weather caused major delays in the College World Series Friday as the Texas Longhorns waited to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils. During the downpour, finding any cover was essential.

National Weather Service issues tornado watch for Washtenaw County (The Ann Arbor News)

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for most of southern lower Michigan, including Washtenaw and Livingston counties. The watch is effective until 10 p.m.

Microbursts fairly new weather discovery (KTAR 92.3 Phoenix)

A new book by an Arizona State University professor explains how the “microburst” was partly discovered in Arizona. It’s a fairly new discovery said climatologist Randy Cerveny, author of “Weather’s Greatest Mysteries Solved.”
