Manatee population suffers record number of cold weather deaths (NBC 2 Fort Myers)

The recent cold snap proved to be especially grim for manatees in Florida. New numbers from Florida Fish and Wildlife show at least 77 deaths were blamed on the cold weather. That number is not only high - it’s also a new record.
