Weather to cool down this week While temperatures inland, especially on the other side of the hill, got quite toasty Sunday, coastal areas and spots in the Santa Cruz Mountains remained quite comfortable, according to a forecaster with the National Weather Service office in Monterey.

The tornado that tore through Wethersfield Friday afternoon lasted three minutes and traveled 1.7 miles, according to a report released Sunday by the National Weather Service.
