The weather may not have been what you expected the past weekend, but at least it didn’t rain frogs, one of the bizarre weather events recounted in David Suzuki’s Looking at Weather. Suzuki does confirm that British Columbia is the rainiest place in Canada.

Poor weather hampers South Dakota farmers

South Dakota farmers trying to get crops in the field are being hampered by cold, wet weather. The Agriculture Department says in its weekly crop-weather report that rain, freezing temperatures and snow in some areas prevented farmers from making much progress with spring planting over the past week.
