Last year wasn’t a good year for Wisconsin’s apple and cranberry growers. Poor weather led to a steep drop-off in Wisconsin’s apple production in 2009. The state’s farmers grew nearly 44 million pounds of apples, but that was down 31 percent from the previous year.
