Severe Weather Hits Tri-State (FOX 5 New York)

The wind is packing a powerful punch across the Tri-State Region. Coastal areas including the New Jersey Shore have seen gusts of up to 45 mph. Several weather advisories for the area are in effect including one for high surf, coastal flood and winds.

There are numerous severe weather alerts issued across the tri-state for Tuesday evening as a line of storms pushes through the region. A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Suffolk and Nassau counties on Long Island until 6:30 p.m
